Ms. Lindsay Craig

The moment Lindsay walked through the doors of Top Notch CrossFit in the spring of 2016, she fell in love with the sport. As an athlete who had competed competitively in a number of sports as a child, this was another chance for her competitive spirit to thrive. Soon after becoming a member of the gym, she started competing in local competitions, which she uses as motivation to push herself in training.

Lindsay studied Kinesiology and Applied Health at the University of Winnipeg and received a bachelor’s degree with a major in this area. After graduation, a job came up at the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg where Lindsay programmed and ran the youth programs for two years. This sparked an interest in teaching youth and impacting their futures, so Lindsay then decided to pursue a career in teaching. In 2009, Lindsay took a leap and moved to Thailand to teach at a Manitoba school and kick off her career as an educator. Since then, she has been teaching students at St. John Brebeuf School and is an active member of the coaching staff there as well.

During the summer of 2017, Lindsay decided to travel down to Madison, Wisconsin to take her Level 1 certification course and see the top athletes in the world perform at the CrossFit Games. Upon her return, she decided that she wanted to become a CrossFit coach and influence members of all ages, including kids and teens.

Lindsay believes whole-heartedly in the methodology of CrossFit and is so excited to bring her background as an educator and coach to the community here. Lindsay says, “CrossFit to me is a place where you can see people’s motivation grow each day, a place where we help each other become stronger, healthier and happier people in the gym and in life. CrossFit has changed my life and I wanted to bring that change to the lives of others.”
